SweaterJanuary Sweater Savings

While you’re wearing your new sweaters, bring in the ones you got last year to be cleaned.  Our special this month is bring in 3 sweaters, and only pay for the cleaning on two.  Refresh and revitalize the wools, acrylics and cottons. Brighter colors, and a softer feel await you.

Bring in 3 sweaters (men's or women's) to be cleaned and only pay for the cleaning of 2!  Ask about our sweater bags to store and protect your sweaters.  Available at all of our convenient locations.

Focus on Cruising

You pack your bag, take a flight to a coastal city and board a ship for a 14 day cruise.  I can’t really tell you where to find the best price or the warmest weather, but I can tell you how to take care of your swimsuit, lingerie, and other delicate items.  A new, sophisticated detergent that far surpasses other retail products was just introduced. It is available only through the finest cleaners - we are the only distributor on the west side of Cleveland. Silky Cleanis highly concentrated, so you need only use a very small amount.  This means the bottle will last longer, saving you money!  It can be used on both colors and whites, in cold or warm water, and it is so mild that it doesn't need to be rinsed out. Your fine lingerie, pantyhose, silky nightgowns and bathing suits will be cleaner, feel softer and smell wonderful.  And the colors will be brighter.
Silky Clean™  is on display and available at each of our 4 neighborhood locations and from our Route Drivers, Mary and Bob.  The cost is $7.95 (plus tax) for a 16 oz bottle. This bottle should clean about 32-64 basins full of delicates.  Enjoy your cruise!

Ask the Experts

Q. While getting ready for a holiday party at my in-laws’ house, I spilled nail polish down the front of me.  How do I remove it?

A. Although items with nail polish stains are best treated by us, your professional drycleaner, if the garment is washable, and you wish to treat the stain, try using the following procedure.  For best results, treat the stain as soon as possible sing a nail polish remover. Note that using a nail polish remover may create another stain. Before using, test for fabric damage and colorfastness by applying a few drops to an unexposed area. Let stand for five minutes. If the color or fabric is damaged, don’t use the product. This applies especially to nail polish removers that contain acetone, which may permanently damage acetate or acetate blend fabrics Place the stained area over several layers of white paper towels. Apply a few drops of nail polish remover to the stain. Let it soak into the stain, then gently blot with a paper towel; do not rub. Allow the nail polish remover to evaporate from the fabric. After testing for colorfastness, use a laundry prespotter to treat any remaining stains.

And Before I Close.....

Did you know….

That now can be ‘wet’ or ‘dry’. The rule that one inch of rain equals 10 inches of snow is subject to vary wide extremes.  The ration in wet snow may be 1 to 5, while in extremely dry snow the ratio may reach 1 to 40. The wetter the snow, the larger the snowflakes. Huge saucer-sized crystals are the result of snowflakes that have grown by bumping into their neighbors on their way to earth. Snowflakes 15 inches across were once sighted at Ft. Keough, Montana.
