Coat Cleaning Savings - EXTENDED

dry clean coat pressed to perfection by Reehorst Cleaners

We're extending our coat cleaning sale due to the unusually warm October we had.  I know I wasn't thinking too much about winter last month, but deep down in my bones, I KNOW we'll have snow sooner or later!  So just bring in 3 coats, and only pay for the cleaning of 2 coats.  (Least expensive cleaning is free).  Just stop in to any of our four convenient neighborhood locations, or if you're on our free delivery route, put the coats in the valet bag.  They'll be returned to you fresh and ready to wear at the first signs of cold weather.  Furs, leathers and suedes not included in this special.

Focus on Holiday Wares and Wears

From appetizers to formal dinners, from a cozy night together to an office party, from familiar family gatherings to New Year's Eve on Time Square, the Holidays are full of traditions.  Traditions can be in the foods we prepare to that special Santa sweater the kids love.  The Christmas catalogs are full of Holiday wares for the home ranging from the super-duper potato peeler to the professional martini maker.  And 'wears' could be the new bikini for the trip to Jamaica to the down jacket with the fur trim.  We can't help you much with the 'wares' of the season, but come to us for all your 'wear' needs.

Ask the Experts

Q. My daughter came back from trick-or-treating and had melted chocolate all over her white angel costume.  How do I remove this stain?

 A.  Halloween, by nature, can provide interesting challenges for those responsible for removing stains.  While most hard-candy stains can be removed by regular washing methods, chocolate stains are not so easy because they contain both greasy and non-greasy substances.  For best results, try pre-treating the area with an enzyme pretreater and then place the affected area over several layers of white paper towels and blot.  If the stain remains, blot with a mild solution of one teaspoon of white vinegar per cup of water.  Rinse with water.  If all other methods fail, you may need to use a bleach, but remember to test for colorfastness.  Any remaining stain may be removed by laundering according to the care label instructions.
