Savings on Suit Cleaning

The summer heat, humidity, and afternoon thundershowers can put unwanted wrinkles and stains in your suits.  Now's the time to bring them in to one of our four convenient neighborhood locations while we're having our Suit Cleaning Sale. That way you'll be dressed and pressed for success! Bring in 3 suits and we'll clean one of them for free!  This special applies to men's and women's fashions.

Focus on Family Reunions

Fact: Over 20 million Americans a year participate in some 400,000 family reunions a year.

Whether it's a whole week at a group of cabins with planned activities, or a golf outing with a catered dinner in the picnic pavilion, Family Reunions can be a memorable time for all.  I've included links to various planning/idea sites in the left-hand column.

Ask the Experts

Q. I heard regular dry cleaning can ruin a suit.  Is there any validity to this statement?

A.  No! The clothing care industry has been fighting this rumor for years.  Research was conducted at North Carolina State University to determine the effects of dry cleaning on wool fabrics.  Their findings concluded that tensile strength of fabrics was not affected, no shrinkage was noted, and the fabric feel was the same.  In addition, dry cleaning kills more than 99.9 percent of the bacteria on garments either from the wearer or other persons.  Particulate soil can become imbedded in fabric fibers and can 'cut' fibers when cleaning is done infrequently. So frequent dry cleaning can extend the life of your garments.
